Full Landscape Design Process

Consultation

I will come to your home to discuss your landscaping needs and ideas. I will walk the property and discuss fees, timelines, and services available. After this meeting, I will deliver a proposed scope of services, which once signed, will lead to the next step.

Site Evaluation

In this step, I will gather and document information about your property necessary to create a base map for design development. Elements relevant to the design will be noted, including the position of the home, topography, drainage patterns, structures, existing plant material, irrigation issues, neighboring uses, and views.

Any existing information, plot plans, surveys, architectural drawings, previous landscape plans are very helpful to this part of the process.

Design Work

A conceptual landscape plan will be developed based on the findings from the site and your project goals. I will schedule a design review meeting with you to discuss initial design layout options and potential material choices. This meeting is meant to ensure that the design is in line with your vision before I start more detailed design.

Master Plan

The final master plan will detail all new plantings and the layout of hardscape elements including patios, walkways and landscape features. It will also include additional information you may need for the project such as plant lists, material schedules, or design details.
